Trip to Peru

The research trip will last ten days.
Tickets to Peru are not included in the package, but we can help you book the perfect trip based on your expectations and the extra time you would love to spend visiting other cities before or after our experience.

3 Ceremonies.

The trip will start in Tucume, a town located on the North Coast of Peru and it is just 30 minutes away of Chiclayo, the most important city in the Lambayeque region. The north of Peru has a rich history around shamanism. For example, the Mochicas considered that nature had a duality, in which destruction and balance were constantly challenging each other.

Tucume is considered the shaman´s land because there are more than 400 shamans in this ancient town. Also, the valley host 26 pyramids from the Mochicas times that surround the majestic Purgatory Hill. This is a place like no other to get closer to spirituality and better understand the role that shamanism has for this region. 
Here is where we will perform our first ceremony hosted by the great shaman Orlando Vera from Fundo Vera Healing Center.

In Tucume we will share time with local researchers and visit local shamans to learn their healing practices, techniques, and herbs used during their ceremonies.

We will visit the biggest herbalist and shamanic market in the North of Peru, the Modelo Market, which is a place where Modern shamans buy their herbs and ceremonial tools.

Chaparri

The Chaparri Mountain is located within a vast reserve protected community-owned land and managed private conservation area located in the dry forests of northern Peru. This energetic area is the home of a large range of wildlife including many endemic and threatened species. Since the times of the Mochicas, this site has been a place of worship and pilgrimage. Here will be our second ceremony.

Pucallpa
Pucallpa is a city on the Ucayali River in the Amazonian Rainforest of Eastern Peru. This magical place blends indigenous traditions with modern influences. We will spend time and learning with Ashaninka healers and discovering different plants used for different treatments. The Access to this community is difficult and it is recommended to access with a local guide from their own group. The only access is traveling for a couple of hours by boat and walking through the Rainforest with the guide of a local explorer. (don’t worry, it is safe.) Here is our third ceremony.

After the Rainforest we will end our trip in Lima.
